Soundbar Install

Prepare.
-
Recap conversations from your pre-call with the client regarding the service(s) being performed. Learn where the soundbar is being installed and what kind of system it’s integrating with.
-
Ensure the Soundbar Mounting service and location meets the client’s expectations and needs.
-
The Add-on Soundbar Mounting service includes the basic audio setup for the soundbar and mounting the speaker to a standard wall or TV soundbar mount. It does not include mounting to a custom surface, custom wire runs, installing in a crawlspace or permit required confined space, or installing an In-wall Power Extension Kit.
Perform.
-
If wires are to be concealed within the wall, route cable(s) through a single stud bay in a standard frame wall. OEM power cables cannot be concealed and will be run to the nearest outlet. o Source cabling must be in-wall rated. If client or manufacturer supplied cables are not rated for in-wall use, cables will be connected, but exposed.
-
Using the parts and instructions included with the soundbar and/or soundbar mount, install and secure the unit to an integrated TV bracket, or standard frame wall (metal studs, wood studs, & drywall).
-
Hang the soundbar on the mounting bracket and use hardware adjustments to level and achieve the optimal position.
-
Verify the soundbar is properly positioned and working. Adjust audio settings using built-in menus or included audio calibration microphone/instructions per manufacturer guidelines.
-
If needed, program a manufacturer supplied, non-learning type, remote.
-
Ensure all wall-fished cable exit points are finished off with either a wall bushing or a wall plate and wires are neatly dressed; using wire ties when necessary.
-
Perform a test run of the setup to prepare for client demonstration and education.
Present.
-
Give the client a listening experience by demoing an audio source that was connected.
-
Show the client how to adjust sound inputs (Bluetooth, receiver, TV, etc.) with the provided remote.
-
Answer any questions the client may have and discuss In-Home Solutions that would improve their experience. Consider the client’s changing needs over time and help them explore and plan for the future.
-
It’s like we were never here; clean up the work area and remove all tools, supplies, packing materials, and vacuum/sweep as needed. Perform haul-away / recycle as the work order dictates.
-
Help your client know what to expect and prepare for what’s next; leave them with the appropriate contact information in case something goes wrong.
